Esquire Tarots

With the success of The Truth’s anti-tobacco campaign, a steady stream of art directors saw the potential of tarot-style illustrations to liven up their editorial work. Design Director Darhil Crooks of Esquire commissioned 12 tarot-style illustrations for the magazine’s annual “What It Feels Like…” The feature highlights strange tales of the year ranging from what it feels like to have “an erection that won’t go away” to what it feels like to “eat fire.” Client: Esquire.
